Teesdale and Weardale Mountain Rescue Team are visiting us on Thursday 26 September 2019 at 7:30 pm to give a talk/demo on the work of the MRT with special reference to walking in groups. This is open to all members but should be specially interesting to people who lead group walks.
There'll be a substantial and delicious pie and pea supper for the measly sum of £4.00 (pay at the door)
The venue is St Catherine's Community Centre in Crook Market Place.
There'll be a raffle with some fabby-whizz prizes
All profits will go to Teesdale and Weardale MRT.
We'll be inviting neighbouring Ramblers groups and anybody else who walks in groups.
Come and support your local MRT and learn what to do if things go a bit pear-shaped...
We raised just a touch over £100, which was pretty generous for the size of the audience. Thanks to Jeff and Steve for the extra raffle prizes plus the books...... Quite nice pie and peas too and the charge for hiring the hall was waived, so thanks to St Catherine's
Great evening and thanks to Steve for a very informative presentation
A very well deserved cause as all MRTs are self financing
Pies and peas were great ....topped off with first prize in the raffle.....map and compass 👍👍 just need to learn how to use them now
